The themes Abd-ru-shin illuminates in His Work encompass the meaning of life and the task humanity on earth has to fulfil. Furthermore, the difference in the nature of man and woman is explained, in which particularly everything womanly finds expression in a manner which is finer and striving towards the Light.

If he follows the descriptions of Abd-ru-shin with an open mind, the reader arrives at a basis for the ability to perceive that which the different cultures on this earth call “God”. God, as the Creator of all things, in His Creation becomes truly perceptible only to those human beings who adapt themselves unconditionally to this Creation and the Laws active therein. In this connection, there can be no separation between belief and science for both have the same origin and require an objective examination which can only take place free from any sort of restraints in order to grasp them.

Abd-ru-shin writes with regard to the “Ten Commandments”:

“Who takes the trouble to experience a Commandment thoroughly with his intuition. When one sees how thoughtlessly children and adults habitually treat the Commandments of their God, every serious-minded person could and should be horrified.

The Commandments are learned and superficially discussed at school. A person is happy if he has taken in the words, and can to some extent give answers concerning them, so long as there is any danger of his being questioned about them. When he leaves school to enter public life these words too are soon forgotten, and with them also the meaning. The best proof of the fact that he was not really interested at all in what his Lord and God demands of him.

But He does not even demand anything, but gives in love to all men what they really need! From the Light it was indeed perceived how far human beings were going astray. So, like a teacher, God faithfully showed them the way that leads them to Eternal Life in the Luminous Realm of the Spirit, thus to their happiness. Whereas disobedience must lead to misery and ruin for mankind!

Just for that reason it is not really correct to speak of Commandments. Rather they are very well-meant advice, pointing out the right way through the World of Matter, with which the human spirits themselves wished to become acquainted.

QUESTION: What is mercy and how is it related to justice?

ANSWER: In the human sense mercy is an arbitrary act, but not in the divine sense. God’s mercy lies in the self-acting laws of creation that bear the will of God, which at the same time is also justice. In their justice they give the fallen human spirits the possibility of achieving ascent again through redemption.

These effects of the self-acting laws of God in Creation bear within them justice and love, and at the same time are also the mercy that God offers to human beings.

Abd-ru-shin writes with regard to prayer:

“If prayer is to be spoken of at all, then the following words are naturally meant only for those who concern themselves with prayer.

He who does not feel the inner urge to pray may well refrain from doing so, for his words or his thoughts would inevitably dissolve into nothingness. If a prayer is not thoroughly inwardly experienced, through and through, it has no value and therefore will have no effect.

The best foundation for a prayer which may be expected to have effect, lies in those moments of spontaneous thankfulness arising out of great happiness or of deepest pain resulting from heartfelt grief. In such moments a person is filled with one particular intuition which dominates all else within him. This enables the main wish of the prayer, be it gratitude or a request, to receive undimmed power.”
